
Every summer is the same story: too hot for cooking, too hot to eat aboil food and so on...
But the same advice that everyone recives on summer's days is to DRINK...drink and drink because is the only thing that helps us to suffer the high temperatures. Now, maybe water is too banal for you ( ...just MAYBE) and sturbucks frappuccino's is too much far from your place...so the idea, that I suggest, is cooking by your self cold drinks that's have nothing to envy coffee bars for.
So I've 2 simple recipes for you now:
ICED SHAKED COFFEE
In the Italians bars, is usually ordered on summer this drink because is the normal Italian coffee but colder and sweeter.
The ingredients are these for one person:
- 1 shaker o 1 mixer
- 9/10 ice cubes
- 2 spoons and a half of fluid sugar (you can find it on drugstore or in supermarket)
- 1 coffee espresso
Put all these ingredients in the shaker (fist ice cubes, second the cofee and finally the sugar) and shake for almost 15 seconds.
Inpour a glass (better is a Martini's glass) the coffee and serve cold.
You can add cream, syrups or ice cream...everything is allowed with this sweet drink.
STRAWBERRY SMOOTHIE
Ingredients for 1 person are:
- 1 mixer
- 100 gr of strawberries /2 balls of strawberry ice cream instead of
- 100 ml milk
- 3 spoons of triturated ice
- 1 spoon of sugar
Mix all together the ingredients (be careful to cut the stawberries before) and serve cold with a sipper.
Now, I'm not claiming to be a chef with these two simple recipes, but only to help you to suffer these last hot days of summer with simplicity!
